Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches.
Round 1: *Knit 3, purl 3, repeat from *.
Round 2: *Knit 3, purl 3, repeat from *.
Round 3: *Knit 3, purl 3, repeat from *.
Round 4: *Knit 3, purl 3, repeat from *.
Round 5: *Knit 3, purl 3, repeat from * to last 6 stitches, knit 3, slip 3.
Remove marker, slip 3 stitches back onto left needle. Replace marker. This is the new end of round.
